An hour-long film "Light to the World" about Baha'u'llah will be shown at 2 pm on Saturday, May 5, at the Wasilla Public Library.
The film depicts the life and influence of Baha'u'llah around the world.
The free event is hosted by the Wasilla Baha'i Community, which is inviting everyone to come learn why so many people around the planet are exploring the teachings of Baha'u'llah. Baha'is believe in Progressive Revelation and that Baha'u'llah is the latest Divine Manifestation.
This film was completed in 2017 specifically for the 200th anniversary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah, which was celebrated this past October by Baha'i communities around the world. The Mat-Su celebration at the Palmer Train Depot concluded with the showing of this film.
"Light to the World" gives the story of Baha'u'llah's life, 1817-1892, and includes comments from people from all the continents sharing how his spiritual and social teachings have influenced and transformed them.
Members of the local Baha'i community will also be present to answer questions.
