Wasilla resident Linda Carol Sehm, 55, died at Valley Hospital in Palmer on March 25, 2005. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, off Bogard Road at Leatherleaf Loop in Wasilla. Pastor Fred Stroud will officiate.
Mrs. Sehm was born June 2, 1949, in Longview, Texas. She became a resident of Alaska in 1950 when her family moved here.
Her husband wrote, "Linda was a loving and compassionate person who cared for others and, over the years, was a foster parent. Later, she became the operator of an assisted living home for the elderly for 11 years. She was particularly fond of her little dog, Jack. Linda enjoyed making crafts. Christmas was her favorite time of the year, as she enjoyed decorating her home and the sharing of the season with her family and friends."
She is survived by her husband, Doug; sons, Robbie Bowersox and Brent Sehm; daughter, Anne Murphy; son-in-law, Mark Murphy; grandchildren, Rachel and Garrett Murphy and brothers, David and Robert Lewis. Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
