Lions give PHS football much-needed boost

The Palmer Booster Football Club (PFBC) would like to publicly thank the Palmer Lions Club. Each year the Palmer Lions Club has helped the PFBC with much-needed donations and help with fundraising.

The PFBC supports the Palmer High School football team, raising money for needed equipment, field maintenance, team travel expenses and any other team-related expenses.

The Lions Club has sponsored the Palmer High Football team at Colony Days Ice Cream Social for the past two years, giving the boys an opportunity to serve their community by serving ice cream. This year the donation to the PFBC by the Lions Club will go toward the construction of an admittance/spirit shack to be built at Palmer High School’s Machetanz Field. This much-needed building will keep volunteers out of the elements when donating time to collect admittance fees for all Palmer High football home games and other high school events. Last year these dedicated and selfless volunteers sat outside the gate at a table exposed to all types of weather, rain, wind, and sometimes sun.

Thank you, Lions Club, for your ever-present community spirit and donations to support our youth football!
