WASILLA — Despite a big night courtesy of Houston’s Kade Taylor, the Anchorage Christian Lions were able to hold on and beat Houston 70-62 Tuesday night in Anchorage.
Taylor scored a game-high 32 points, and knocked down eight three-pointers in the loss. All but three of those points came during the second half. Taylor helped the Hawks attempt a rally during the final two quarters. ACS used 23 points in each of the first two quarters to take a 46-25 first-half lead. Taylor scored 39 of Houston’s 37 second-half points.
Silas Ross added a dozen in the loss.
In girls’ action, ACS beat Houston 57-21.
