ANCHORAGE — The Houston Hawks finished strong, but the Anchorage Christian Lions used a fast start to beat the Hawks 58-42 at Anchorage Christian School on Tuesday.
Ne Ne Hale collected 17 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals for the Hawks, who posted 31 second-half points and outscored ACS 19-13 in the fourth quarter.
Hale’s 17 points was a game-high.
Vickie Baybado added 11 points and six rebounds in the loss. Savannnah Wells chipped in seven points.
The ACS boys raced to an early lead over Houston. The Lions put together a 28-4 run in the first quarter and added 23 points in the second.
Matt Barron led the Hawks with 15 points. Samuel Brandt added 12 points and eight rebounds. ACS forced 40 Houston turnovers.
