LISA C. REED

Lisa Carol Reed, 38, died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Wasilla on March 4, 2005. A celebration of her life will be held at the VFW, 301 E. Lakeview Ave., Wasilla, at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20. A potluck reception will follow the celebration.

Ms. Reed was born in Mount Clemens, Mich., on April 6, 1966. She moved to Alaska in the summer of 1986 to join her mother and sister. When she met the family of her caregiver, she adopted all of them as family and made Alaska her home. Her loved ones wrote, "Lisa's health wasn't very good and now she is at peace and in a better place. She will be remembered very lovingly."

In 1999 her mother, Laura Dotson, preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Orlen Reed; sister, Becky Reed; niece, Mary Reed; friend and caregiver, Cindy Dutton, and many other friends and family members in Alaska and in the Lower 48.

Arrangements were with Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
