This Friday, preschool adventurers can explore their surroundings on a guided walk at the Eagle River Nature Center . Families with children ages 3-5 can take a trek down the Rodak Trail, which is less than a mile in length and stroller accessible. Dogs are not permitted on this or any op ENRC’s guided walks. Guests are asked to sign in at the front desk before 11 a.m. The class is free. Parking cost $5 for nonmembers and free parking for members of ENRC.
The program is “at the pace of a preschooler,” so expect to casually amble through the afternoon to take in the sights as the children make the trip feel like an adventure. Through explorative play, it’s possible to educate children about the world around them, in kid size pieces. Check the ENRC website to find more activities for you or your family. Programs like the junior nature program are designed to engage children through participation and grant awards for accumulating visits.
