The miniature trains are built to scale with pull cars designed for child and adult passengers. There are several types of replica trains that run on gas and electricity. The ride, which takes about 20 minutes, winds through a forest of tall trees and dense foliage, across bridges and over a tall trestle. The Alaska Live Steamers is located near the Wasilla Airport and is open on the first and third weekends of the month through September.
