On behalf of the Mat-Su Community Band, I would like to thank the Alaska Tesoro company for placing its tent in front of the train depot for the Colony Days parade.
It is difficult for musicians to read music and perform with their instruments in the rain. The tent was greatly appreciated.
For our parade, there was some rain, but we all know most of the rain was in Anchorage that day.
Special thanks to the organizers of the air show for tribute to pilots and all associated with the aviation industry. The Palmer Airport is an important part of our community.
