Local charities participate in ‘Pick. Click. Give.’ Program

WASILLA — When Alaskans sign up for permanent fund dividend checks, they can choose to participate in the Pick.Click.Give. program, and donate a portion of their PFD checks to Alaska charities. The PFD Division of Alaska Dept. of Revenue partners each year with the Rasmuson Foundation, Foraker Group, United Way of Anchorage, and The Alaska Community Foundation, to administer the program.

Alaskans have proved to be a generous lot, donating more than $13 million through the program from 2009 through 2015.

If you’re considering donating through the program, but are unsure what to contribute to, consider taking a look at local Mat-Su Valley charities, listed below.

There are charitable giving opportunities for a broad range of passions, causes and interests, including Christian ministries, wild animal and pet support, charities for children, public radio and libraries, recreational activities, and music and the arts.
