PALMER—Ed Luteran recently received two $500 gift cards to Fred Meyer after winning the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman’s subscription sweepstake.
Luteran expressed gratitude to his local newspaper and partnering grocery store.
“My thanks to both of you,” Luteran said. “I really commend Fred Meyer for supporting our local newspaper. As a community member, I appreciate that.”
Luteran was informed last week and was elated by the news. He said that he found out about the sweepstake while renewing his subscription. He said that he appreciates keeping up with local happenings.
“I think it’s fantastic to support all things local,” Palmer Fred Meyer Store Manager Dean Forkner said.
On Tuesday, Forkner and Frontiersman Circulation Administrator Christy Pinkerton awarded Luteran the gift cards inside the store.
“We appreciate you as our customer,” Pinkerton said to Luteran.
