Local milk tastes better

To the editor:

There been enough disparaging news about the Alaska dairy industry lately.

One mismanaged creamery need not taint an entire, albeit small, industry. We still have local cows and a local processor. Drinking milk produced locally supports Alaska families, is better for the environment and supports our struggling, but vital, agricultural sector.

A local jug of milk simply tastes better than one that has sloshed its way up the highway for days. Just ask your grocer.
