Local player wins 13th straight club championship

PALMER — The streak continues.

Allegra Butler posted a score of 153 to win the women’s gross division during the Palmer Golf Course Club Championships in Palmer over the weekend. The win marked Butler’s 13th straight club championship.

Marcus Dolejsi also repeated, winning his second straight crown in the men’s gross division. The Palmer player shot a two-day total of 152 to win. He shot a 78 on Saturday and finished four strokes better with a 74 on Sunday. His effort on Sunday allowed Dolejsi to beat runner-up Ross Martin, a former club champion, by four strokes.

Trent Berberich finished third at 157.

Bill Iverson won his third title in the men’s senior gross division, using his 151 to beat runner-up Karl Johnstone, another former champion. Nancy Neel won the senior women’s gross, shooting a 206.
