Local students earn academic honors

Wasilla’s Corey Bjerken was named to the fall semester Dean’s Honor Roll at Fort Hays State University in Fort Hays, Kansas. Bjerken is a junior majoring in psychology. To be eligible for the Dean’s Honor Roll, undergraduates must have completed at least 12 credit hours with at least a 3.6 GPA.

Wasilla’s Amy Michels was named to the fall semester Dean’s List at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. To be eligible, students must earn at least a 3.6 GPA while taking no fewer than 15 credit hours.

Palmer’s Jordan Jensen has been named to the Dean’s List with Distinction for the fall 2015 semester at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. To be eligible, students must have a GPA of 3.6 to 3.84. Jensen, a senior majoring in entrepreneurship, is a 2012 graduate of Mat-Su Central School and the daughter of Brian and Kimberly Jensen of Palmer.

Wasilla’s Robert Pritchett has been named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2015 semester at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. To be eligible, students must received at least a 3.6 GPA.
