PALMER — Morgan Morfe of Wasilla will compete for more than $40,000 in college scholarships and other prizes as a contestant in the 2012 America’s National Teenager Scholarship Program, a program for gifted young women ages 9 to 25 hosted this year in San Antonio, Texas.
Morfe is a 2012 graduate of Palmer High School and a recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which will pay for her college education through her doctorate.
Contestants in the America’s National Teenager Scholarship Program won the honor of representing their state through academic, community service, interview and onstage competitions.
