Local veterans enthusiastically support Colligan

To the editor:

I have known Mr. Steve Colligan for dang near a decade in our community. Steve Colligan has been a true leader in the sportsmen, gun rights and veterans communities. As a board member of both Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife and SCI, I have seen him work countless hours to raise money and create opportunities for our veterans and wounded veterans. He has done so selflessly; a character trait I admire.

He has also worked with our state and federal delegation on sportsmen’s legislation, veterans concerns and in general helped create opportunities for others especially our next generation.

I have been down waving signs every Monday evening for the past five years by the rail depot with AMVET Post 9 brothers and sisters, and I have yet to see Mr. Pat Johnson or any other liberal down to help us.

Mr. Colligan has been a huge supporter of our troops, veterans and Wasilla Post 9. I am asking that all my veteran brothers and sisters consider voting for Mr. Colligan for Mat-Su Borough Assembly based on his character, actions and deeds, not just meaningless words.
