Ellen Long received the Business Professionals of America (BPA) Outstanding Service Award at a ceremony held on May 8 in Reno, Nev. As an educator, Long was recognized for her outstanding service to the BPA, having dedicated her time and promotion of its objectives for the past 15 years.
Ellen served on the Classroom Educators Advisory Council for seven years and was the first teacher in the Mat-Su Valley to offer A+ computer certification opportunities to students. She also designed the IT career pathway for most schools throughout the state, including the new Mat-Su Career and Technical High School, where she teaches. She also dedicated her time to the States’ Career Clusters
