PALMER — Colony posted a trio of second-half goals to score a 3-1 nonconference win over the East Anchorage Thunderbirds Wednesday at Colony High School.
Oliver Querin, Dylan Crawford and Bridger Van Ness each scored within a 14-minute span to push Colony to a 7-0-1 mark this season. The victory also gave Colony head coach Jeremy Johnson his 151st career win.
Johnson now ranks second in career wins in the history of Alaska prep soccer. The longtime Colony soccer mentor, who started his career just three years after graduating from Palmer High School in 1992, was previously tied with former Chugiak High School boys coach Ed Blahous at 150.
Now, Johnson trails only Juneau-Douglas boys head coach Gary Lehnhart, who has compiled 180 wins since 1992.
Johnson hit 150 wins with his team’s 6-1 victory over Grace Christian at Anchorage Football Stadium on Tuesday.
Querin, Crawford, Collin Murphy, Logan Smith, James Meaney and Jess McKee each scored for the Knights. Querin led the team with two assists.
Elliot Gilbert earned the win in goal. Jesse Krey posted the victory in goal against East.
Colony returns to action today to host Soldotna at 4 p.m. at Colony HIgh School.

PALMER — Blaine Carver used a hat trick to lead Soldotna to a 4-0 win over the Palmer Moose at Machetanz Field on Thursday.
Soldotna improved to 4-2-2 overall, while Palmer dropped to 3-4-1.
The Stars continue their three-game trek through the Valley with a match against Colony tonight at 6 p.m. Palmer meets Kenai today at 6 p.m. at Houston High School.

WASILLA — Borja Angoitia scored during the first half to lead Wasilla to a 1-0 win over the Palmer Moose at Wasilla High School on Tuesday.
Eli Tingstad earned the shutout in the Warrior net.

Soldotna 1, Palmer 0
PALMER — Soldotna scored during the 20th minute to post a 1-0 win over the Palmer Moose at Palmer High School on Thursday.
The Stars, who improved to 3-3-2 overall with the win, face Colony today at 4 p.m. at CHS. Palmer dropped to 5-4-0 and will meet Kenai tonight at 4 p.m. at Houston High School.

ANCHORAGE — Sophomore Jamie Krediet posted the hat trick and added an assist to lead the Colony Knights to a 5-1 Northern Lights Conference win over Grace Christian at Anchorage Football Stadium on Tuesday.
Jessica Farrell and Sara Kenley also scored for Colony (4-0-2).
Kenley recorded Colony’s fifth goal when she knocked a header into the net that was set up by a Farrell corner kick.
Colony hosts Soldotna at 4 p.m. today at CHS.

WASILLA — Amy Jo Coonrod found the back of the Palmer net during the 60th minute to give Wasilla a 1-0 win over the Moose at Wasilla High School on Tuesday.

HOMER — The host Homer Mariners scored two goals in each half to post a 4-0 win over the Houston Hawks at Homer High School on Thursday.
Holly Dickson, Molly Warburton, Emma Laukitis and Danilee Stapel scored for Homer High.
