The Matanuska-Susitna Borough announced that starting on Oct. 3, Lucille Street in Wasilla will have a full road closure for culvert improvements. Closures are expected to continue until Oct. 17.
In an announcement made to social media and the MSB website, closures will be 24 hours a day, or until job completion for the project.
Signs will be in place to assist drivers with detour routes as needed that will direct the public around the closure area from Lucille Street, east from the circle on Seldon Road, North on Schrock Road, and back on Lucille Street.
The closure will allow workers to remove and replace the existing culvert for Meadow Creek that lies just under Lucille Street, just north of the Seldon-Lucille intersection.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area while road work occurs and to adhere to the 35 mph speed limit.
