Noteworthy Alaskans are up for bid.
The Communities in Schools program is hosting the "Lunch with a Leader" program, in which people can go to eBay and bid for a lunch with a media personality, athlete or even the superintendent of the Anchorage School District.
Starting on Jan. 18, people can bid on a lunch with the personalities. The auctions continue through Feb. 11.
The list of Alaska participants includes two Valley residents, singer/songwriter Adele Morgan and Iditarod champion Martin Buser. Other participants include Bob and Mark of KWHL fame; Troy McClain, from the first season of "The Apprentice" with Donald Trump; Atlanta Falcon Todd Wiener; Maria Downey of KTUU; Paul Thacker of the World Snowmobile Association; Cary Carrigan of Channel 13; and Carol Comeau, of the Anchorage School District.
People can go to www.lunchwithaleader.com to view local, as well as national, celebrity leaders who are participating in the nationwide event.
Monies earned from CIS-Alaska, Inc. "Lunch With A Leader" auction will be used to support the Alaska CIS local programs.
