• Madelyn Peterson of Palmer was honored with an award during commencement ceremonies May 19 at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., the Adam Dublin Award for the Study of Global Multiculturalism. The award is given to students doing research or creative work on issues related to multiculturalism in the United States. She is the daughter of Marc and Virginia Peterson and a 2009 graduate of Palmer High School. She received a bachelor’s of arts degree in politics.
