PALMER - A man who allegedly kidnapped his wife at gunpoint was alone and on foot shortly after the incident, according to Alaska State Troopers.
At 1:30 a.m., troopers arrived at the Four Corners Lounge, at the corner of Trunk Road and the Palmer-Wasilla Highway.
Gary W. Alcock, 41, had driven to the bar, taken his wife from another vehicle by pointing a gun at her and other people at the scene, and forced the woman into the pickup, according to the trooper report.
A second 911 caller told troopers Alcock had turned the pickup over to his wife and was on foot in the Colony Schools area.
Troopers found Alcock on 49th State Street.
He had been drinking, the trooper report said.
Alcock has been charged with three counts of third-degree assault, fourth-degree misconduct involving a weapon, fifth-degree misconduct involving a weapon, and driving under the influence. Both weapons charges are misdemeanors. Third-degree assault is a class C felony punishable by zero to two years for a first-time felon.
Alcock is being held at Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility in lieu of $100,000 plus a court-approved third-party custodian.
