FAIRVIEW — Alaska State Troopers say a man burglarized the same house twice in a week.
The first burglary was reported soon after it was discovered March 20. A home on East Rian Avenue, a road just south of Fairview Loop, was broken into and $13,000 worth of stuff was stolen from inside.
Six days later on March 26, troopers were dispatched to the same home. This time the property stolen totaled $6,000.
Troopers say they believe Charles Conrad, 21, of Wasilla, was responsible for both crimes. They obtained a warrant for his arrest and nabbed him three days later at a March 29 traffic stop.
Conrad was jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $25,000 bail, charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. He’ll need to find a third party to watch over him before he can be release. Jail records Thursday afternoon he was still incarcerated.
