PALMER— Jeremy Ayay, 26 of Wasilla is facing several felony sex offenses involving a minor under 16 years old, including sexual abuse of a minor 1 and exploitation of a minor to “make porn,” according to his case file. He’s also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class A misdemeanor.

Ayay was arrested by Alaska State Troopers on Nov. 20, 2018, according to his file. He was scheduled for trial the week of April 18 but his case was pushed on Thursday, April 4, during his pretrial conference. Ayay is currently in custody and attended his pretrial conference via teleconference.

Assistant Public Advocate, Brooke Berens spoke for Ayay’s attorney Alexander Foote and said they received 195 pages of discovery and 24 audio and video tracks. She said that Foote is continuing the investigation and requested a continuance for 30 days.

The state did not object and Palmer judge Kari Kristiansen set Ayay’s next pretrial conference for May 2 at 2:30 p.m. with the trial week scheduled to start May 17 at 8:30 a.m.

This is the fifth time Ayay’s case has been bumped, according to online court records.
