PALMER — At 9:11 a.m. on Monday, a call for an ambulance was made from the the Mat-Su Borough Central Landfill. 59 year old Moses R Ellsworth of Moses Lake, Washington was working with a contractor baling scrap metal and was caught and subsequently killed.
Alaska Metal Corporation and Green Force Industrial LLC were the two contractors on site at the time of the incident.
Alaska Occupational Health and Safety was on scene with two representatives and investigation continues as to the cause of death. June is National Safety Month for OSHA.
