WASILLA — A Saturday evening two-vehicle accident on Parks Highway near Weber Drive in Wasilla claimed one life.
According to Wasilla Police Department, Joseph Worcester was pronounced dead at Mat-Su Regional hospital as the result of the accident, which occurred around 5:22 p.m.
Reports state 62-year-old Michael Farrington turned in front of a truck driven by 18-year-old William McDonald. Police reports did not indicate the type of truck, but EMS scanners stated a plow truck was involved. Police say Farrington was driving a van, which McDonald was unable to avoid and struck Farrington's vehicle in the side.
Worcester was taken to the hospital by EMS. Next of kin has been notified and investigation into the crash in ongoing, police said.
