WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers say a 30-year-old man died Tuesday in a crash on Settlers Bay Drive.
Mathew Bernard Delong, 30, of Wasilla, was eastbound in his white 2010 Ford pickup truck when he lost control 4/10 of a mile from the road’s start at Knik-Goose Bay Road, troopers report.
Delong “went over the guardrail on the north side and the vehicle came to rest on its roof in the tree line,” according to a trooper press statement.
Troopers say Delong was wearing a seat belt at the time, but succumbed to his injuries on scene. The pickup was totaled.
