HOUSTON -- A Houston man was killed and another was sent to intensive care after their snowmachines collided Friday evening, Houston Police reported.

Philip Greenlee, 45, was heading south on a snowmachine trail next to Kenlar Road when he came around a corner and collided with James Palmer, 42, who was driving his snowmachine north on the same trail.

Greenlee was pronounced dead at the scene and Palmer was taken to Providence Alaska Medical Center

snowmachiners were behind Greenlee and one was behind Palmer; they called police after coming up on

the collision.

No charges have been filed at this time but an

investigation is ongoing.
