Additional charges have been filed through the district attorney’s office against a 31-year old Anchorage man for providing a false identity to Palmer Police officers in a May 16 theft incident.

Police now state Beau Douglas Reed, 31, of Anchorage, gave officers the name of his older brother, 34-year-old David Martin Reed Jr., when officers stopped him as part of an investigation into the theft of a wallet and laptop from unlocked vehicles in Palmer May 16. Through investigation, police were able to obtain a warrant for Beau Reed’s arrest which occurred several days after the warrant’s issue.
