TALKEETNA — Samuel E. Clark, 40, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the alleged shooting of Dirk Fast, 53, at approximately 9:15 p.m., last night inside Latitude 62.
Fast died at the scene, according to an Alaska State Trooper press release.
Following the shooting, Clark left the bar, but troopers pulled him over a few minutes later at Mile 7 of the Talkeetna Spur. They took him into custody at 9:31 p.m., according to the press release.
Alaska Bureau of Investigations took over the investigation and Clark was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on Saturday where his bail was set at $500,000 plus a third-party custody requirement, according to troopers press release.
