Since 2017, Mann Family Dental has been operating out of a tiny space on Bogard Road in Wasilla, just west of Seward Meridian Parkway. On Oct. 16, a spacious new building welcomed customers just a couple of miles away, at the corner of Bogard and Seldon roads, across from Valley Country Store. The relocation and expansion will allow for some much needed growth. Dr. Tyler Mann, owner and practitioner, said he will be adding two doctors to the staff to better serve the community and provide the wide array of oral health care they offer to Mat-Su families.
“We were crammed in there pretty good at the old location,” Mann said. “This will give us a more comfortable space for treating patients.”
The building itself was put up by Orion Construction. The project, which just broke ground in April, employed only Alaska labor, Mann said. The finished building transformed the lot and added a nice asset to the residential neighborhood.
“A lot of people don’t want to fight traffic to go to downtown Wasilla,” Mann said. “We cater to families and there are a lot of homes in this area.”
Mann Family Dental also accepts Medicaid, which he said is an increasingly uncommon perk.
The size of the building will also attract other commerce to the area. All 5,000 square feet of the second floor, accessible by separate entrance is available for lease. Mann described it as “Class A space with nice views.”
