To the editor:
On behalf of the Mat-Su Job Center, a huge thanks to our business partners in the Valley for participating in this year’s Mat-Su Job Fair.
A special thank you to Amy and Quincy at Mat-Su College for all their support and help; it would have been an enormous task had it not been for their assistance.
We had nearly 50 employers and training facilities represented, which came to approximately 100 potential job openings in total. For the 400-plus job seekers who found their way to the college, it was a great opportunity to meet employers and gain access to their employment opportunities.
In today’s economy, the best we can do is help our neighbors and friends find jobs.
There are too many employers to mention by name, but please accept our most sincere thank you for your involvement in our local community, and your desire to make the valley better.
