Many reasons to vote no on Wasilla sales tax

For me, there are at least six reasons why I am going to vote “No” on making permanent the increase to three percent in the Wasilla City sales tax.

Reason No. 6 is that I don’t like that the city is trying to piggyback on the library project. When I voted for the increase to three percent so we could build the library out of pocket, I did so with the expectation that the one percent increase would go away and the sales tax would return to two percent. I resent efforts to make this increase permanent.

There’s five other reasons, but I don’t want to bombard people.
