Many thanks for new roof

To the editor:

In January, the roof of my home was leaking so bad that my family was on bucket brigade and towel clean up for weeks. The living room ceiling was falling down as a result. My wife and I hoped we could stretch a tarp over the roof to buy us time until spring to repair the roof of our old trailer.

However, I was unable to help her due to a medical condition with my back. We asked a gentleman at the Chickaloon Church to come over and help my wife put the tarp on the roof and secure it for high winds.

Instead of just helping us put the tarp on the roof, a crew of nine from the Glacierview and Chickaloon churches showed up. We were awestruck when lumber and materials were delivered at the same time. They built us an entire new roof. Their generosity and act of Christian love far exceeded anything I had ever imagined. My family and I would like to extend our deepest gratitude and thankfulness to these two fellowships. Witnessing the love of God in action is a most humbling and awesome experience. I would strongly encourage everyone living in the area of these two churches to visit their services to experience for themselves the wonder of God.

With humble gratitude,

Michael Aubrey
