Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Martin P. Markham of Meadow Lakes died at Valley Hospital in Palmer, on Oct. 18, 2001.
A celebration of life service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Mile 49 CafŽ, Mile 49 Parks Hwy.
Mr. Markham was a Marine sergeant, data technician for 10 years.
His family and friends stated he was "a quiet man always working on his computer, trying to finish the book he was writing. Martin will be greatly missed."
Mr. Markham is survived by his estranged wife, Diedre Harshbarger; fiancŽe, Jennifer Dunkin; his only grandson, Wade Kelley; and family and friends in Minnesota and Alaska.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home of Wasilla.
