Marvin Jay DenBleyker, 88 years of age, passed away on Sunday morning, August 12, 2018, at the Eaton Palliative Care facility. Marvin looked forward to and is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Marvin was born in Holland Michigan on July 26, 1930 to Martin and Jeanette DenBleyker. He met and married Linda Riemersma at age 24 and began their 62 year marriage together.

Marvin is a veteran of the Korean War.

In 1962 they, with their three children, left Michigan and moved to Longview Texas where Marvin resumed his education at LeTourneau University. His involvement in the LeTourneau Missionary Tech program eventually lead to a new life serving at Victory High School, a native mission boarding school in Alaska. Marvin and Linda worked and served faithfully at Victory High School, Victory Bible Camp, and the surrounding community for 46 years.

Marvin is survived by his three children: Marlin Prins and her husband Doug, Michael DenBleyker and his wife Marva, Marsha Wood and her husband Dave, nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held in Palmer, Alaska on a date yet to be determined.

The Skinner Funeral Home of Eaton Rapids has been entrusted with Marvin’s final care.
