MARY IRENE KOSKI

A memorial service for Palmer resident Mary Irene Koski, 70, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30, at Kehl's Palmer Chapel, 209 S. Alaska St., with Pastor Joe Hand officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Richardson National Cemetery.

Mrs. Koski died Nov. 25, 2001 at her home. She was born April 29, 1931, in Linton, N.D., to Joseph and Barbara (Wingertner) Bosch. She attended school at North Central High School in Spokane, Wash., and after high school she worked for Northwest Bell Telephone Co. and Southern Bell Telephone Co. as a supervisor. She later relocated to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she attended Eastern Idaho Vocational-Technical School and received an associate's degree of applied science in nuclear technology and materials evaluation technology.

In 1996 she and her husband moved to Alaska to retire. She enjoyed reading, conversing with her friends and the beautiful scenery of the mountains surrounding Palmer.

Mrs. Koski was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Koski. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Leona Bosch of Spokane, Wash.; her nephew and his wife, Steve and Betsy Bosch, and their children, Katherene and Michael of Port Orchard, Wash.; special friends, Alan and Patti Gloe and their children, Matthew, Kaitlin and Marcus of Leesburg, Va.; and many other friends and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, 800 E. Dimond Blvd., Suite 3-210, Anchorage, AK 99515. Arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
