A visitation for Palmer resident Mary Lee Place-Schroeppel, 51, was held Thursday, Jan. 25, at Kehl's Palmer Chapel. The funeral service was held Jan. 26 at Kehl's Palmer Chapel, with Father Leo Desso officiating. Burial will take place in the Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.
Ms. Place-Schroeppel died Jan. 19, 2001, at her home from natural causes.
She was born Jan. 30, 1949, in Seattle, and attended the University of Washington and the University of Alaska. She was a Catholic and had lived in Alaska for 11 years as a resident of Wasilla and Palmer. Her family said: "Mary loved making crafts of all kinds."
She is survived by two sons, Zachary and Michael Place and Mark McDermott. Arrangements were by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
