MARY LOUISE CAMPBELL

Longtime Kenai resident, Mrs. Mary Louise Campbell, 49, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, due to cervical cancer, at her home in Kenai. Per her request no services will be held.

Mrs. Campbell was born April 23, 1954, in Superior, Wis. She had moved to Alaska in 1966 and was raised in Palmer, graduating from the Palmer High School in 1972. She had lived in Petersburg, Wasilla, Sutton, Soldotna and Kenai in her 37 years in Alaska. She worked at the Duck Inn as a cook. Mary enjoyed bowling, card games, reading and fishing with family and friends.

"Grammy will always be in my heart and now she's in heaven with her mom and dad," said Canyon Cunningham. "Grammy is the best angel in Heaven," said Willow Campbell. "Mom was a very strong woman. Once a friend and she would do anything to help you. She loved us very much and she'll be missed by all who knew her," said Lucille Campbell.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Albrect (Boyer); father, John Smith and step-father, Clifford Albrect. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Lloyd Campbell of Kenai; daughter Lucille Campbell of Kenai; sons, Jerry and Timmy Campbell both of Kenai; brother, John Smith of Palmer; grandson, Canyon Cunningham of Kenai; granddaughter Willow Campbell of Kenai; step-son, Carl Campbell of Oregon; step-grandsons, Lloyd and Robert Campbell of Alaska; brother Robert Smith of Alaska; sisters, Roseanne and Cecelia both of Alaska; and many friends and adopted family.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
