Mat Su Borough gears up for high school graduations

If you have been anywhere near a high school, or a high school senior for that matter, in the past few days, you may have noticed a sense of anxious excitement. Almost a giddy nature to them. That could be partly because it is time for them to don their caps and gowns, figure out how best to get the stray lines of the tassels out of the faces, and practice what smile (or other expression) to wear on those big screens at the Menard Center as they march out to the notes of “Pomp and Circumstance,” as they graduate and leave their high school years behind.

As the Mat-Su Borough fills with proud families, friends, and excited teens as graduations commence, schools across the Valley will be holding ceremonies over the next several weeks.
