Mat-Su Borough high schools prepare for graduations

All across the Mat-Su Borough, valedictorians and salutatorians are putting the polish on their speeches, Color Guards are practicing displaying honors, and students are buzzing with excitement, while their families are equal parts excited and sad as seniors prepare to mark a major milestone as another graduation season is here.

Nearly 1,100 students are planning to walk across stages to the notes of “Pomp and Circumstances” after completing the rigorous graduation requirements.
