TALKEETNA — Mat-Su College Director Dr. Talis Colberg and Northern Susitna Institute staff will speak about a new partnership offering college-level courses in Talkeetna at the Talkeetna Chamber of Commerce meeting at 7 p.m., Nov. 13 at the Swiss Alaska Inn.
Mat-Su College has partnered with “Classroom with a View” to offer college-level courses at the NSI campus in Talkeetna. People can signup now for “English A111: Introduction to Composition,” which will be taught by Associate Professor of English Dr. Deborah Fox Wednesdays from 5 to 7:45 p.m., Jan. 14 to April 29, 2015, at Northern Susitna Institute in Talkeetna.
Cost is $552 ($174 per credit, $30 student fees) for the three-credit class.
All high school graduates are eligible to apply, along with juniors and seniors in high school. High school students may earn high school and college credit simultaneously. College credit will satisfy requirements for an equivalent course at most colleges and universities.
