Mat-Su Community College Chorus sets spring concert date

The Mat-Su Community College Chorus is inviting the public to its spring concert on May 4, at 7 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Wasilla.

The 45-member choir is comprised of Mat-Su College students and residents of the Valley who enjoy choral music.

At the annual event, selections ranging from the Renaissance to present-day classics will be featured.

Also featured during the spring concert will be "The Russian American Colony Singers."

It is a newly formed group of Russian and American performing artists, based in Anchorage.

The group will sing some classics, liturgical music and international folk songs unique to Alaska.

Both choral groups are conducted by Katherine Eaddy. Koreen Robinson is the accompanist for the Mat-Su Community College Chorus.

The concert is free, and open to all.

The Mat-Su Community College Chorus produces a spring concert every year, as well as a Christmas concert in the winter.

The Mat-Su Community College Chorus also puts on special concerts throughout the year.
