On 12/10/2025 at approximately 0623 hours, AST responded to a report of vehicle that was partially blocking the road on Skyview Dr and Fast Ln in Wasilla. Investigation revealed the vehicle was a 2001 white Dodge Ram 1500 that was reported stolen on 11/22/2025. Jourdan Avila, age 33 of Wasilla was in possession of the stolen vehicle. Jourdan was arrested for vehicle theft 1st degree and Theft 2nd degree. Additionally, Jourdan had two outstanding arrest warrants. Jourdan was transported and remanded to Matsu Pre-trial Facility in Palmer without bail.
On 12/10/2025, at approximately 1749 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a report of a vehicle collision near the intersection of Parks and Vine Road in Wasilla. EMS and AST responded to the scene. AST contacted Juliana Winegarden, age 56 of Wasilla. Investigation revealed she caused the collision and was intoxicated. Juliana was arrested for the crime of DUI. Juliana was transported to Matsu Pretrial where she was remanded and held on a $500 bail.
On 12/10/2025 at approximately 1951 hours, the Alaska State Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Crusey Street and USA Circle. After initially providing false information, the driver was identified as Zayerick Malone (31YOA) of Anchorage. Malone had a $20,000 felony arrest warrant for sexual abuse of a minor. Malone fled from Troopers, crashed his vehicle, and fled on foot. Troopers and Wasilla Police were able to locate Malone nearby and apprehended him with the use of a K9. In addition to the warrant, Malone was arrested for felony eluding, resisting arrest, providing false information, assaulting a law enforcement officer, failure of an operator to give and render assistance after an accident, and not possessing liability insurance. He was remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial after being treated for his injuries.
On 12/11/2025 at approximately 0525 hours, the Alaska State Troopers responded to a domestic violence incident in Wasilla. The suspect, identified as Arlen Collini (43YOA) of Wasilla, had caused his wife to have a nosebleed. When Troopers arrived, Arlen was also found in possession of firearms, violating a condition of his release from a prior incident. Arlen was arrested for assault in the 4th degree, violating a condition of release, and remanded at Mat-Su Pretrial where he was held per the bail schedule.
On Dec 11, 2025 at approximately 1821 hours, the Alaska State Troopers received a call from the Three Bears loss prevention at their Pittman location. Kesha Jensen (39YOA) of Wasilla was found in the store after she had been notified of a lifetime trespass. Kesha was reminded of her trespass and issued a summons.
On 12/12/2025 at approximately 0310 hours Troopers and VPSO's responded to a call for service for an individual having a mental health crisis. Ultimately, he was voluntarily transported to a hospital for mental health treatment.
On December 12th, 2025, the Alaska State Trooper responded to a disturbance investigation in Wasilla. Dustin Equevilley was arrest for Assault in the 4th Degree (domestic violence) and Interfering with the Report of a Domestic Violence. Equevilley was booked into Matsu Pretrial.
On December 13th, AST responded to a disturbance in Wasilla. Casey Cizek was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree (domestic violence), DUI, and Violation of Release Agreement.
On Dec. 14, 2025, Alaska State Troopers responded to a report around 8:52 p.m. of an abandoned vehicle on Church Road in Wasilla that was on fire. While on scene, dispatch received a call that 35-year-old David Griffin of Wasilla had gone into a nearby store and was talking about setting his car on fire. Troopers responded to the store and contacted Griffin, who refused to comply with commands and said he had a weapon. Troopers used OC spray to detain Griffin and one trooper received minor injuries during the apprehension. Multiple knives were found on Griffin. He was remanded to the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on charges of arson, and third- and fourth-degree assault.
