Mat-Su CVB announced new in-state marketing campaign, photo contest

The Mat-Su Convention & Visitors Bureau is launching a new marketing campaign, How Do ‘U’ Mat-Su?, focused on residents and their visiting friends and relatives, highlighting the many adventures that can be found in the Valley.

As part of the campaign, people are encouraged to post photos to social media channels while enjoying activities in the Mat-Su Valley, using the #UinMatSu. The Mat-Su CVB will be giving away one Alaska Grown hoodie a week from the entries posted online.

The campaign highlights four “destinations” within the Mat-Su Valley — the Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway, Hatcher Pass and the road over to Willow, “core area” adventures and the upper Susitna Valley and Denali State Park.

“Even locals may be surprised by the fun things to see and do in our own backyard,” Mat-Su CVB’s Casey Ressler said. “We want everyone — locals included — to get out and enjoy the many amazing adventures we have right here.”

The four itineraries can be found at www.alaskavisit.com/alaskans.
