WASILLA — The Mat-Su Convention and Visitors Bureau launched its new website Thursday, May 19, highlighting the Valley as a destination to potential visitors. The site address remains the same, www.alaskavisit.com.
The site is responsively designed, meaning it scales to any device used to access it, according to a press release issued by the bureau.
“The new site uses the latest web design technology and is a great marketing asset,” said Mat-Su CVB marketing manager Casey Ressler. “It gives our members more tools than ever before to market their business and attract more visitors, and it gives site visitors more functionality and usability than ever before.”
Ressler said the investment is part of the bureau’s overall mission of growing a vibrant tourism industry. He noted in the release that tourism in Alaska reache record levels in 2015, with a strong outlook for the 2016 season projected.
“Alaska’s economy is facing a difficult time, but tourism remains a bright spot,” Ressler said. “Tourism dollars spent in Alaska circulate throughout our community, create jobs and contribute to our local economy. Tourism is everyone’s business.”
