Mat-Su Farm Market open for Christmas shopping Monday

Mat-Su Farm Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Dec. 23 at the Palmer Depot, 610 S. Valley Way, for last-minute Christmas shopping. The Mat-Su Farm Market continues Mondays through May 19.

Vendors this week are:

The Alaska Sourdough Bread Co. — Full line of sourdough breads, holiday breads (stollen, bobka, and figgy pudding), pulla, challah, baklava, holiday cookies, clementine marmalade, apple butter, and honey. New this week: orange cranberry bread, orange dream bars, sugar cookie Christmas trees

Alaska Sprouts — sprouts and hydroponic lettuces.

Alaska Yard and Goat Co. — goat milk soaps, goat milk bath salt.

Bistro Red Beet — French press coffee, gluten-free baked goods.

Brooke Family Farm — chicken eggs and quail eggs. Taking orders for chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and pigs for 2014. New this week: duck eggs, taking orders for spring chicks, ducklings, etc. Christmas hog discount.

Bushes Bunches — Blue, Yukon, white, peanut, and red potatoes, pie pumpkins, turnips, beets, carrots.
