Houston’s Jake Davis has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student-Athlete of the Week.
Davis was named most outstanding wrestler following the Houston Invitational at Houston High on Saturday. Davis won the 170-pound weight class, scoring a win by technical fall over Voznesenka’s Dennis Martishev, the bracket’s top seed.
Davis pinned his opponents in the semifinals. Davis also helped the Hawks win the Houston Invite team title.
