WASILLA — The 2023 Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show will be held at the Menard Sports Center from March 24 to March 26.
"We expect it to be an overall good event really," Mat-Su Events owner Matt Rowley said.
This three day outdoor show will feature a wide variety of vendors, seminars, and raffles. Nearly 200 vendors from across the state are participating this year, according to Rowley. He noted that about a third of the vendors are new, adding to the overall diversity of goods and services available.
"A lot of exciting vendors are going to be there," Rowley said.
There will be a wide selection of guns, knives, apparel, collectibles, RVs, boats, ATVs, outdoor equipment, and other items available to browse through. There will also be numerous food trucks onsite as well as an hourly drawing for free gifts.
The Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show is one of the largest annual events in the Valley. Rowley said they had about 10,000 visitors last year and they anticipate the same amount this year, if not more. He said the popular event has continued to grow in popularity across the Mat-Su Valley and it even beckons visitors from Anchorage and beyond. He said it’s the first outdoor trade show of the year in the state which adds to the overall popularity.
"The show is really growing," Rowley said.
The 2023 Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show runs from 12 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 24; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 25; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 26.
