Vendors from Fairbanks to Port Ashton packed the Menard Center in Wasilla over the weekend, offering everything from tours and trips to sauces to seminars and everything in between for the annual Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show.

Nearly 200 vendors took part in the event over a three-day period, spilling into the second-floor mezzanine, to offer visitors at all the exciting things to see and do whether close to home or trekking out to explore the Last Frontier.

“This is big,” said Dan Moshier, who said he came out for no particular reason other than to see what was available, although he didn’t rule out making a purchase or two, as he eyed a few deals on ATVs. “I’ve been here before and it just grows every time I come. There’s so much good stuff.”

In addition to the various vendors, the Mat-Su Outdoorsman Show also featured a wide array of seminars for people, ranging from Halibut 101-a rundown of best places to fish, gear needed, and successful methods to catch halibut-to learning more about the latest developments in the West Susitna Access Road.
